Taking care of old friends

What do you think of darning? I hate it. But because I love all my old woolly socks and my husband loves his, I have to take care of our old friends. I find it easier to knit a new heel and foot. Much more easier and nicer than darning.

Here are some old friends in desperate need of attention.

I darn my socks also. However, when knitting the sole of the socks, I run a thin thread of "wooly nylon". In this manner, the sole last longer AND when the wool begins to wear thin, I still have a framework on which I can duplicate stitch, rather than darn holes. It is much easier.

Kay mentioned you today in Mason-Dixon, that is how I found you. I LOVE your blankets- they are beautiful! How long does each one take? They are so lovely!! (you can email me at katemojo at pacbell dot net) Happy knitting!

Sukkien parsiminen on helvettiä. Ihan oikeasti. Ne kasautuu ja yhtenä äpäivänä huomaa että kaikissa sukissa on reiän alku. En huijaa, tää on ihan totta!

Teillä on oikein suloisen näköisiä sukkia. Perinteisiä, harmaan ja ruskean sävyjä. Kauniita!
